Hi everyone. I'm sending this warning to let everyone know of the scam that this guy just tried to pull on me. He emailed saying he had a watch he thought I would be interested in. I was already suspicious but played along. He sent me a description and a few pictures of a nice waffle dial constellation. The only thing wrong was that it was a description and photos from an ad that I posted over the summer! He was trying to sell me my watch! Do not respond to any emails from this guy!

Thanks Justin. It is always wise to be cautious of any solicitations. I believe Ash nuked him.

No, responding to WTB posts with a generic cut & paste sentence saying he has what you're looking for. He sent me an e-mail too and I told him to get lost and that he had been sniffed out.

much like emails responses we get from Craigslist ads... "do you still have the item available?" is the typical hook these morons throw at you.

The guys selling on here for the most part are veterans, so hopefully they'll be careful. Always protect yourself!

Checked my emails & I had one from him too. Luckily the forum's defensive mechanisms had already washed the scum away :D

If ever even slightly in doubt, make a thread and ask about someone, its not an offensive thing to any legitimate seller to check.

Tutima FX Automatic Watch in MINT condition.
This watch is only six months old and is in mint condition. Both front
and rear sapphire crystal is scratch and blemish free. You would have
to look very closely and carefully to see any wear.

It comes with the original black leather band and also a sporty carbon
fiber style band which has been worn only a few days and looks new.
The original leather band shows normal wear.

It has quick set day and date function and a bi-rotational 60 minute
countdown bezel. The back is a sapphire crystal exhibition screw down
    case.

The bright spots that show on the pictures are from the camera flash,
they are not blemishes. Sapphire domed crystal with anti reflective
coating is very difficult to photograph.

Guys, keep in mind that you can use the "report" option within private messages. Hit this and enter a brief description of your problem.

Once submitted, it allows the ΩF admin team to view the same message (and take any action required).
