So I've used and recommended Christian Dannemann to a few people on here as a conscientious, fast and well priced watchmaker, I've just heard he's suspending work indefinitely due to family illness. I hope this resolves itself for him quickly as it's never nice when people you care about are ill.

I've just posted this mainly as a heads up to other UK forum users, but also to ask if anyone can recommend an alternative. We've all got STS as an option, but I'm not aware of anyone else who will provide an inexpensive check over of the 'penny stocks' some of us collect.

I am in the same boat, looking for a relatively inexpensive alternative for servicing needs. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know!

Never used him, but I enjoyed reading his blog. I hope things work out for him.
