I don’t know… seems pretty understated to me

Next up for your consideration: the Tourbillon. A centerpiece trumpeting an exciting horological innovation, or a unaesthetic intrusion into what could be a desirable watch?

Form over function, but fascinating.

Watches like this looks not too good not too bad,not too anything.
And,plenty of people are buying them, plenty of companies are making them.

I feel mixed on these: I agree, most look ugly and over-the-top. But there is something cool about seeing how all those little parts work together, without having to flip the watch over (exhibition back). Also, I do appreciate the hand-work involved. Not sure I would buy one, though

Exactly! I would never buy or wear one, but I am glad other are buying them, they are keeping the craftsmanship alive.

That is an interesting one, for sure. To my eye, about to step over into gaudy-land, but manages to just fall short.

Right,it’s not in,it’s not out. Having these around long enough, some flame of (watch) love could be out.

Compare to those periodic ugly ones, this kind of banality probably is more head scratching.

A. Lange watches. Somehow these always manage to look boring and busy at the same time.

Maybe something got lost in translation, since I am not an English speaker by birth.

It's all good - no one is born speaking English...

A bit surprised that it took 6 pages for an Invicta to be posted, unless I missed a previous reference. Seems like we all love them, right?

For me, it has to be there, I take more offense by the case but if I bought a tourby i’d want to see the movement from the dial side.

I hate the fact that I love the flightmaster.

Does that count?
Or get a Flightmaster it has both a gmt hand and a movable bezel

I hate myself, so I bought this! I know there are mixed reviews on the design, but I’m liking it. The present iteration with the Explorer case doesn’t do it for me though. I have to have an Oyster.

Nope. The stuff on the left of the case looks like they rang in a 24-hour plumber to finish it off; the Addams Family typeface for the numerals -- I'd never be able to unsee that '4', which recalls a caricature of something that has died -- looks like the plumber's apprentice was let loose unsupervised in the font library -- and the finish (or lack of finish) on the hands would maybe be acceptable on a $350 Seiko, but not on something at that price point.

Right!
I can see how that special “4”brings good memories and is close to some. And there’re functions, details, craftsmanship and sh*t that at least they could manage to deliver as historical big brands.

Somehow, from a prospective of esthetic, there’s just not much energy or excitement there. It became a routine of most modern products,so it seems. It’s also a part of the reason why we watch guys love vintages more.

Well, let’s see what W&W show will bring us today.😗

I have one too. I love it. I think the case look way better than the new ones with the crown guards.

The bezel reminds me of the diff. gears I used to turn, gear cut, grind, gear grind and finish grind for buses.

On the dealer website, this watch is listed as, “incredibly rare.” Now we know why: the designer was dragged out and shot after the prototype…
