Hi all,
is it possible to contact WatchCo still or have they completely gone?
i inherited a 166.0324 which has "Not For Sale" on the case back, there's no reference to it online and daren't send it to Omega or even STS, i prefer not to think of it being confiscated by either of them
but if anyone here can help with any info i'd be grateful, I've had it serviced by an independent watchmaker and another dealer (who is humble enough to say he's still learning every day but has been dealing in old watches since the early 80s) has had a close look but while both of them knew immediately it was a WatchCo neither had seen this before, or could find any fault with it - cosmetic or mechanical
Thanks

Watchco were in the Melbourne CBB when I bought my Seamaster 300 from them. Whatever your thoughts on the watches it was great service and am pretty sure I got one with NOS movement. But I sold it, stupidly. Watchco moved to NZ a few years back. Pretty sure they are still going, albeit in a reduced capacity. Google Watchco NZ and they should come up.

I don’t think they supply these watches anymore the last time I asked. They barely have any parts left.

They no longer have a parts account with Omega from what I understand...

It's OK I'm only asking them a question out of curiosity, about a watch I have which I presume they assembled, i'll come back and let you know what they say when (or if) i have a reply from them

They are not the only people who have made these, so maybe they know, but very possible they won't.

Thanks, i didn't know that, i'm an interested novice i suppose, I inherited some watches a few years ago and have been trying to find out more about them, i'm surprised at how complex and multi layered each enquiry can become,
i've sent them an email to About Time so we'll see, if they don't know then i'll leave it there and let it remain a mystery, my hunch is that there is some cosmetic flaw with it which prevented it being sold as new so maybe it was used as a demo model, then somewhere along the line made into my brother's Omega-grasping hands, he was often given watches as gifts at the end of a job abroad by the client, some quite nice ones, some a bit tacky and others just weird, but he kept them all, this is one of the nice ones i think, very accurate for it's age, the movement is about 50 years old apparently, there's nothing else remarkable about it but if you'd like to see the movement i have photos of it which i can post here

Thanks again all

Spot on with your prediction, they didn't know and they didn't assemble it, they're very helpful and quick to respond to enquiries though, if i was in Auckland i'd be more than happy to deal with them for a service or repair
