··Prolific Speedmaster HoarderWatchco Seamaster SHOM 166.0177 Calibre 1012
Watch head with Omega Shark Mesh 22mm strap with extension, no box, papers or strap.
USD 2400 / No trades, sorry
(A note on the price: Ebay has a few asking $3000, and one at $3900. You could but a "kit" from Australia for $1850....then import it....find a movement....build it....)
Bought by me in 2011. I was in California and I met a collector who told me this was NOS - however I am certain it is a Watchco assembly of NOS parts. When I got it, the watch was wrapped in protective film from when it was built. In which I kept it until now for the photos.
It is a huge, impressive and heavy timepiece. I really like it. It epitomizes the 1970's and the advances in diving and waterproofing - and indeed 70's fashion.
Here is an article about it:

Never worn. 100% clean. Unwrapped to take photos. It is in perfect condition. Not “like NOS” it is NOS.
Not “Only worn a little…….” I mean never worn, not even to check it works, or see how it felt on the wrist. I am a hoarder, a preserver....however because I never am going to wear it, I am going to sell it. My thing is vintage, and I don’t like being the one to put the first scratch on anything.
It runs perfectly. Movement history is unknown, but I put it on the Timegrapher and the watch is running at -2 sec per day, and amplitude is 245, with 0 beat error. Sideways readings are +1 sec 223 amplitude and 0 beat error.
I am selling because I want to purge my collection of everything but speedmasters, which if you read my posts, is my thing. I only wear speedmasters, and I collect all sorts of them. If I own other watches, I simply don't get to enjoy them.
Over the years I have acquired exceptional things, but unlike many people, I don't like variety in my collection. I know, I'm a bit strange. When I was offered non-speedmasters if they were special I bought them, or sometimes because they were part of a collection in which had a speedmaster I really wanted. Now it is time to be ruthless. This and the SM300 are just never going to be used by me.
I am not a dealer; I am a private collector who rarely sells. I am honest and straightforward, and I hope to deal with people who are similar – which has been my experience when buying here.
Payment preferred to be by bank transfer, in USD, or equivalent in STG or Euros. Paypal if you must, but I will ask you for the 4% fees. As for shipping, if you are a little patient, I can arrange shipping from within the following countries: UK (and EU), USA, Thailand or Hong Kong. If not, then it will be international postage. I am always happy to meet should we be in the same country.
My next trip is this weekend, so delivery in EU or USA could be next week, (week of 10th March)
