Another shout out to Ivan at Two Stitch Straps. I’ve gone through a few strapmakers at this time, but Ivan nails it consistently. Great custom work.
Now you can open a shop on Ebay but it’s going to be a lot of work selling those pink padded and other ladies straps one by one....
hope there were a majority you liked in the lot?
I once bought a lot for about for 60 euros, most were vintage open ended straps that turned out to be too long for me- sold a few to amortize the cost, kept a bunch, gifted others - but I’m stuck with dozens of 12mm, 10mm and 14mm vintage straps I myself probably won’t be able to use in my lifetime. Takes up quite a bit more space than I would want.
PS- BTW your post is not a hidden sales post is it?
Hi Everyone,
Would like a piece of advice from you !
I just received my first EP today :
Nice but the zenith strap I have is one link too short to be wrist worn by me (on the picture it is actually open).
Any idea where to find extra links 😕? Or maybe another stainless steel "mesh" strap ? (I've seen a "cheap" one with Josephbonnie (this will be my add-up to your list : nice selection & quality) but the mayol model is in 18mm not 19mm)
I've gone through your posts (Thanks👍), made a list, browse on the web pages and come up with a (not so short) list for leather straps :
- Molequin Granite (modern, grey, nice finishing)
- Hodinkee dark stained brown leather (something of a 'badass' style, not sure it fits the watch, but your comments about Cost/Quality makes me think I will avoid it)
- Nostime ash green distressed calf standard (modern, elegant, different color)
- Camille Fournet Lezard black (close to the original bracelet it was sold with in 73).
- B&R black classic vintage (to do the job)
- Bulang & sons piombo grey (vintage but elegant)
- Finwatchstrap horween burgundy, or bull leather in black (not sure if not too
- Jean Rousseau Autruche 3.5 gris (elegant but maybe too elegant)
Do you have recommendations for this specific watch/style ? to be worn "simply" with jeans, t-shirts and shirts, some time with a jacket or not.
Thanks for those having read such a long post
