So I recently bought this watch (2503.80) which I love:

However I came across these photos online and I was hoping you guys might know where I can find similar straps..and I'd like an omega deployment buckle on it (thought i would mention in case that makes a difference?)

I really like this look...obviously doesn't have to be exact but if anyone could point me where I could find something similar i would appreciate it.

Although a relative inexpensive strap http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-OMEGA-1...Speedmaster-/322128583601?hash=item4b005c1bb1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I was pleased with the quality and its craftsmanship....

I used to be a big fan back in the day - their millennium finish gator was a benchmark for me. Their product has declined. Very few of those square cut alligator that they used to have, more crude textures and finishes. Inexpensive, but also cheap.

These Croc straps from Vietnam are pretty good quality for the price. I've ordered 3-4 from him and been happy with the results and the price (~ $35) esp when they've been custom made.

Here are the latest two, made for a less common 21mm lug width for 2 chronos

Thanks for the feedback everyone! That was an awesome find @Foo2rama...thanks (and not sure why I didn't think of that?!). So here's where I get to the stupid question section (bare with me I'm trying to learn this stuff as fast as I can!). If my lugs are 20mm that means I need a 20mm strap correct? Second I see them listed as 20mm x 18mm so assuming if I get a new buckle does this mean I need a 18mm buckle or is it a 20mm as well (i see you can buy either size)? Sorry for the questions and I appreciate the help. Btw, @alam where did you get your oem omega buckle from?

Yes 20mm lugs needs a 20mm strap. The second number is buckle width. So a 20/18 would be 20 at the lugs 18 at the buckle.

Not to confuse you more but omega and brietling deployments need to be used on straps made for that type of deployant. If a deployant or strap does not specify then they are standard.

You need a 20mm strap. Most straps and bracelets taper from the lug length to the buckle or deployment. For a 20mm lug length the standard is pretty much a 2mm taper to an 18mm width at the buckle or deployment. (NATO straps being an exception) Most straps will come with a buckle - you usually don't need to buy that. I have purchased straps from numerous big shop and custom one off craftsmen and have never needed to get a buckle. I think a deployment would be nice. 3rd party versions that I have tried were not very nice. I think the Omega deployment is too much money for what you get. A buckle is fine.

If you're looking at straps, here's some info on what dimensions are important, hope it helps!

Thanks! The GP lugs aren't all that long - they slightly long but they're beefy (reducing their visual length) and they curve down quite a bit as you can see to hug the wrist, so visually they don't look as long as say the spidery lugs of a Nomos Orion.

I have used these guys a few times and have been very satisfied:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/reikaye

They also make straps which are meant for Omega deployants, which are different from most other deployants.

Ok..I think I'm getting it. To recap:
I need to buy a 20mm strap which is going to taper to 18mm at the buckle. I can either go with a "regular" strap (which will be cheaper) or if I decide I want a deployment clasp then I will have to purchase a strap made specific for omega deployments since they are somehow different. This would mean I would need a 18mm clasp which would be oem (much more expensive) or aftermarket via one of the sellers that some of you have linked to above.

Final question...strap length. I have smaller wrists (just over 6.5 inches about 170mm). Of course the watch itself will take up some of that so will a 120mm x 80mm strap be too large? It seems that would be too long to me but not having ever bought a separate watch strap I'm not sure. Thanks again everyone.

Thanks for this....btw I really love the Connie you have for sell on the private sellers forum. I find myself really liking to look of those vintage Connies and Seamasters. I wish I had the funds to buy that one from you right now! I'd rather buy from someone like yourself who clearly has knowledge and is trusted by this forum vs taking a chance on eBay with my non-existent knowledge! Especially since for me these are purchases for my personal long term use and i would like to pass down to my own sons one day.

I got mine from an AD in my local area. These show up in the FS section around here from time to time and you may find them on the bay too.

is the model you need assuming your fit is for a regular length.
