Hey guys, in the depths of my indecisiveness, I am reaching out to the collective wisdom of the forums to help me decide in my next strap. I am going with Europelli (cant speak highly enough of Drew...super responsive and knows his craft), and have narrowed down to 3 straps...1) cigar North of Cordovan, 2) Burgundy NoC, and 3) shell cordovan color #8. The pics below are in that order and were taken by placing the watch against the photos he sent as I wanted to get a better sense of what the watch would like like against the leather. Thanks in advance!!
Not really loving those cordovan straps with that watch. But if I had to choose, it would be the last one.
When in doubt, use a trick that interior decorators use when choosing paint colors for a room: Pick a strap color that matches an existing color you want to highlight in the dial or bezel. Want to make that black bezel pop? Choose a black strap. Want to emphasize that charcoal-grey dial? Pick a dark grey strap. Use a white stitching color that matches the hands/lume and you're all set
IMO the first strap would be the way to go, I generally like a lighter tone as it tends to look better when paired with most wardrobe options (belts and dress shoes).
Thanks guys. I think I’ve narrowed down to two. I’m nixing the burgundy...beautiful strap but not as versatile as the others. Of the two I’m leaning toward the no 8...attaching additional pics that the strap maker sent me. The no 8 is the first one.
