Watch Strap Advice - White Leather

I inherited these watches from my father a while back, and I've brought them back.

The thing is, for me, these are kind of similar in feel so I thought I'd mix it up. Plus my girlfriend is about to buy her grail purse, a white leather Chanel bag. So the question is: How does the Omega look on a white leather strap?

I’m personally not a fan of it but I’m also not the one that’ll be wearing it. If you wanted to mix it up, put the white strap on the black dial. It’ll play well with the brighter indices. Put the black strap on the white dial as it’ll match the black markers. (Are the black or is the the light?)

It’s not for me but it’s not bad. Just not my taste. I’d like to see the same strap in 6months to see if it discoloured or not.

Interesting, maybe I'll do that.

The markers are black with a frame of silver.
My dad wore the Omega on a mesh strap, but I have a slight nickel allergy.

Funny! That was sort of the point. My girlfriend is hesitant to buy the white leather fancy purse because of staining. So I told her to buy a cheap white leather purse to test it out, and I'd buy a white watch strap to match.

I had a 3 series bmw with tan interior. It was the hardest thing to keep clean. I had leather cleaners and moisturisers from every brand and would have to scrub them forever.

I get what you are after but I don’t think it’s worth the effort or heartache.

That's good advice. Maybe I was influenced by my cousin's new Tesla with a pure white leather interior. It looks so clean! But I guess that's only until it gets dirty.

I’ll take that white leather strap any day over a NATO 😜 and I’m sure it looks different on the flesh and under various light conditions, not terrible IMO. I’d wear with my fav white sneakers... 😀

What about the mark one from Theo and Harris?

That's a nice site. Actually my dad had the Eterna on a strap that matched the color of the dial really well. Sort of a greenish grey. But it was the wrong width and I couldn't deal with it.

It's hard to match colors on the computer though. I bought on a brown leather on the web, and it was just the wrong color. (and maybe I just did the same thing with the white) And when the Covid calms down, maybe I'll head to a watch shop and just do an in person comparison..

I think I'll do that too! I got some of those.

(... back at it again with the white vans!)
