Constellation Manhattan: Bracelet vs Strap Advice

After much, much deliberating, I finally pulled the trigger on a Constellation Manhattan. Its unique funkiness is right up my alley.

It came on a standard strap that's a bit small for me so I went to my OB. They didn't have the long strap in stock but they did have the bracelet which is pretty cool, but I feel that this watch "pops" more on the leather strap.

I have a hard time making up my mind - this watch has an integrated strap/bracelet system so swapping back and forth is not an option. Also, a strap is around an eye-watering $450. If I go for it, the black looks good but I'm pondering if it would look better on the gray strap from the 2 tone version. Decisions, decisions...

Thoughts?

There is nothing like that bracelet, it looks good with those 'rollers' between the links.

When in doubt, get both?

I agree - spectacular bracelet! Makes me think of ancient Egyptian jewelry decor and that 80's song, walk like an Egyptian, lol.

Having both would be ideal, but for the fact that they are held by pin and sleeve. Difficult? Yes. Impossible? Definitely not. But I have to wonder how much wear and tear the connecting mechanism would take after several swaps.

The bracelet is part of what makes that design so iconic, it looks cool on the bracelet too but the integrated bar style bracelet just looks so awesome blended with the case.

It’s a great watch, I'm surprised these aren’t more popular in the western world as they’re everywhere in Australia and Asia

Very true - the bracelet really makes this watch. It's one of the first luxury watches I seriously wanted. The earlier ones were too small for me but then came the 41mm but for some reason, I still didn't bite. Dozens of other watches and several years later, I finally got one and now I can't stop reaching for it.

This generation of Constellation is very underrated. The bracelet is so integrated in the design and in my opinion should always be the first choice. In my opinion you have a great looking watch on that bracelet. Enjoy it.
