I know this may seem like a crass and juvenile topic but as many are stuck at home perhaps it will be interesting to some. Currently my house has watches dotted all over it, I'm changing my watch several times a day. In the past couple of months I've bought a few and sold a few, expanded my strap collection at the same time. When swapping out a bracelet to a strap yesterday I popped the bracelet in the ultra sonic cleaner. This made me think, this is one of the watch related gadgets that I have bought that I use the most. So the goal of this thread is to find out what people are using/not using, and importantly do I need one too? I'll go first. Great: ultrasonic cleaner Meh : Watch winders, have several, all sit unused Need : timergraph. Dont know what I'd do with it, but feel I need it. Thread may die on the vine, or maybe we learn of the thing that is missing in our lives. Thanks
As a vintage collector, along with case back openers, I find both a blacklight and radiation detector to be invaluable.
What I use most: Spring bar tool for strap changes. Caliper to measure lug widths and case diameters. Squishy rubber ball for screwback cases. Clear plastic utility boxes for storage. What I now want: Ultrasonic cleaner, timergraph, blacklight, radiation detector...
Spring bar tool. Ultrasonic Cleaner Loupe Cape Cod Brillo Pad (Scourer -Scotch Brite Very Fine (Brown) For clasps ) Leather Dressing for straps. As for a Wischi - (A bit like doing to the Doctor. What you don't know...) A Box for Watches A Box for Tools A Box for Straps Bracelets. etc etc
