It is kinda sad. I have a friend, actually a married couple that are police officers. She is In a smaller town he is in a city nearby. They are stretched so thin they pretty much “turn and burn” just go from call to call, more so the male as he is city based. They have little time to devote to prevention. When they are dealing with a lot of violence property loss falls to the wayside. I know we would view taking someone property off their body as violent but they are dealing stabbings, domestic abuse etc.
I know there are at least a few law enforcement people here. It gotta be stressful on them as well as in the US police are being portrayed in a negative light in the media.
I gotta say that is kind of clever those ladies having someone sign a petition I mean it puts the victim in the perfect position and these ladies have obviously developed this skill. It’s just sad we do this stuff to each other. So many of us view watches as something much more valuable than it’s monetary value. I worked with someone years ago at a restaurant. He had a Rolex Daytona, I didn’t know much about watches back then but liked them. He wasn’t wealthy at all, it was a family heirloom. People associate Rolex and wealth for a reason (marketing) but not everyone who has one is.
Stay safe in England not like it’s great here either.
