Ok I got a deal on this Longines at a decent price I have never bought a watch with an inscription. I'm glad it has no logo on the front but does have an inscription, does this hurt the value? It's a done deal the watch looks nice and has its box

If an over polished case hurts the value of a watch I'm sure an inscription can't be good for it.

I would say it depends on the buyer. No one likes an overpolished case -- some people wouldn't care at all about the inscription.

Inscriptions do not bother me. I see it as part of the watch’s story. Almost a form of acceptable patina.

Love inscriptions. I think they add something and sometimes they can yield a backstory.

Ps ... get rid of that horrid band. They can chew up lugs.

Band is great for display but if not wear it due to wear issues.

As for inscriptions... meh little impact on value. Kinda neat and kinda bummer at the same time.
