@eugeneandresson : If you're in the market, I recently spotted an SAAF Lemania 5012 for sale from Origin Time in South Africa. Not cheap, but unicorns never are...

https://origintime.co.za/product/saaf-lemania-5012/

I've chatted with the owners a few times and they seem like nice guys. Good luck!

Thanks, however I just need a bezel, and not a whole watch (at an inflated price). I have also chatted several times to this person ...

Without wishing to be morbid but as the years go by in my eyes it makes sense to make everything as simple as possible for family before the old 'Grim Reaper' catches up. 👍

And without contributing to your morbidity, I would be tickled to see you achieve 100,000 “likes” before said Reaper makes his appearance. Or her appearance...

I suppose if it's widely released there won't be much hunting I'll need to do, but I can definitely say I'll be getting this one next year (unless Omega just releases it today - then it'll be right now... really liking this):

My list was already written so copy/paste😬

Top 4
  • 1) Universal Geneve Polerouter (micro rotor, black, no date, lyre lugs)
  • 2) Breitling ChronoMatic (calibre 11 ou 12)
  • 3) Omega Speedmaster 70s (I guess 321 are not reachable for me so 861 will do) or newer models like 3594.50, 311.32.40.30.01.001
  • 4) Omega 30T2 : Suveran, dirty dozen, dual tone…
Others :
  • Seiko GS 57, 44, 45
  • Universal Geneve Compax (cal UG 285)
  • Omega Seamaster with BOR
  • CWC chronograph RAF Fab Four
  • Rolex 1601 or 1603 or 1500, AirKing 5500
Of course it's good to have a list, but I don't know what is happening I keep getting distracted and pulling the trigger like a crazy guy. Of course I post rationalize but that does not help me decreasing this list.

Well, to better answer this, and inspired by some members:

If I do win the lottery, than it would be maybe this: 😁

Black dialled stainless steel early Polerouter
Modern Speedy

I bought a lot in 2020. Looking forward to narrowing my focus a little!
Happy to take your cosmic when you get your hands on the speedy 😉

- 2032.80 or 2255.80 "Electric Blue" Seamaster 300m (w/proper Speedmaster bracelet)
Just a watch that I think looks really cool. I've just missed out on purchasing one several times.

- Bruno Söhnle Lagomat 17-62096-745
Interesting to look at but wish I could see it in person. If one came up at the right price, I would take a chance.

- Tudor Black Bay, or 58, or GMT
I really just want one with a black dial and bezel and no gold. The closest is the M79230B but the difference in dial and bezel would drive me crazy. The blue M79030B looks great but I really want black. The GMT is very pretty.

Now (if anyone has one lol..), I'd love to get a vintage Omega chrono for 2021. Always admired them and their size is generous to my wrist. Couple k but I think I can do it! 😟
Omega Deville Chronograph 145.017
Omega Seamaster Cal 321 (just any clean dial and case)

and to get out of my Omega comfort zone....

Rolex 1601 black or linen dial
A ROLEX 36 126000 YELLOW DIAL WOULD BE THE FREAKING UNICORN 2021 for me 😗 a sweet self-grad gift too!

My watch goal would be stop buying little radium watches, I have way more that I can possibly justify to my beloved and to myself.

Still, I almost have closed a cycle (1 left, 3 if I'm going completely nuts) of radium JLCs, and I'd like to finish it.

So let's say a P476, a Power Reserve and a E109 (P478) 😁

In the (very probable) absence of those, getting the watch that started all of my horology foolishness would be nice for 2021 : a Speedmaster stepped dial.

And on a more opportunistic side :
- Arrowhead Constellation
- Rolex 1600 with funky dial
If I get only one of all of those I'd be a lucky and happy man ::psy::

I’ll hopefully be looking for my first Constellation. Most likely a early - mid 60’s Pie-Pan (is there any other kind?)

Do a search in the forum there are some case and dial iterations of pie pan constellations.

a NOS or good condition Bakelite bezel insert for a Seamaster 60 where I don’t need to sell a kidney to buy it

I started to search a military Omega and Longines from 1940s for a reasonable price, but the prices are pretty high right now for even a bad condition one's so I never give up and really hope I'll find something worthy in 2021!
