    Are you sure?
My wonder is what sort of Omega watch . Seamaster or speedmaster ................... or? I can't find any info about the boxes on the net? I can find similar boxes but not with Mexico Olympic printed on the inside . I also read that this boxes without the mexico print where made in Sweden .Is that true?

It was a commemorative of the Olympics held in Mexico City that year. That style of box was used mostly with Seamasters, but could have held any Omega. It was limited to the Mexican market only.

Might have been used as early as 1966 and as late as 1970.

I was reading about this box and a watch on an other forum. The watch was an old pocket watch. But the box made me a little curious? The OP on that forum said that the person that owned this box had got it from Omega as a gift . He was an athlete that competed in Javelin. Some of the athletes got watches from Omega as some kind gift. Could that be lrue?

That may very well be true.

However, I believe these boxes were supplied to the Mexican distributor of Omega and sent to the retailers there. I've seen enough of these on various forums to think that these were generally available. If they only went to Olympic athletes, they wouldn't be so common.
