My Gruen fell off my wrist and hit the wood from the level of a couch it is from 59' and says it is shock resistant but I am worried still very worried my dad was the cause he feels bad.
appears the impact created some other problems as well for you I'm sure the watch will be fine, come back and tell us how it turned out in the same succinct way.... just kidding, kidding
Read a thread on WUS today that a guy was in an Omega AD, and saw a watch get dropped by a sales guy. While putting away one of those dark side watches, the spring bar popped out and the watch fell to the floor - guy was left holding the tang end of the strap. Chipped the case...no bonus for that sales guy this month! Hope your Gruen is okay - dropping watches is never a good thing. If the watch is no longer running or doesn't keep time as well, take it to a watchmaker. If it's still running okay, you probably got lucky. Cheers, Al
I do have a vintage couch, and it's vinyl. It lives in the basement and is actually comfortable. No Gruens, though, alas. Good luck with it, Ave.
I don't know. I've never seen any identifying marks on it. It was my grandparents', and they reupholstered some of their mahogany dining chairs in the same vinyl, I'd guess in the late 60s. Next time I'm down cellar I'll see if I can find anything.
Great thread this one. I can't work out what the reason is it's here and what it is all about though.
"Next time take care not to drop it." Thanks, I don't think any of us would have figured this out without your help.
