Thinking about the rare watch compliments thread. All day meetings today with my female advertising production consultants. One Brit and one American. Walked in and they both said Nice Watch! Both were wearing vintage Rolex. Both have Watch and naturally handbag collections. One husband collects Patek. We nerded out for a while. Then I ran into a marketing colleague "nice watch" he said and we got into another collecting discussion. Weird day. Nice f....ing watch @Dre ! Thanks !

I had a guy stare at my watch while I was drinking my morning coffee at the coffee shop, stand up and say very loudly "nice fake Breitling, poser!"


I left about 10 minutes later and he was on the phone leaning against his car a BMW 128 with fake BMW motorsports stripes. As I got into my M3 parked next to him I made eye contact and pointed at his stripes winked and smiled and asked "what am I again?"

TLDR this darn thing has gotten so much notice positive and negative. I'm thinking about not wearing it. Darn Breitling marketing! No I love it who am I kidding, I'm not selling it.

Only watch I own that gets any notice.

I never understood why those with non-M BMWS slap an M badge on their cars ...those who know the difference between an M and non-M BMW can spot one miles away without having to see an M badge. Those who don't know the difference and only know BMW won't even notice the M badge in the first place. So, those placing M badges on their non-M BMWs are only trying to fool the ones who know the difference

 

I...didn't even know this was a thing? Wow, that is sad and desperate!

However, I drive an AMG and have trouble seeing BMW car bumpers and paying attention to M drivers from my rear view mirror
