I mentioned in that other thread linked above that I've been cleaning up those old oak machinist chest for this same thing.

Recently finished this massive 26" wide Union. Here it is compared to a "regular" Union box:

Replaced this one (available if anyone in the U.S. is looking...)

I have a couple of those watch cases with little pillows, but recently have been really enjoying this tool box from harbor freight. Was only like $80.

Came with some little dividers that are perfect for pocket knives too.

I spy two very nice Spyderco knives in that box! Very nice. (I rather like the box as well!)

I like them and they are relatively cheap from Harbor Freight. I have since bought another and added some internal dividers (they were storage accessories from Muji).

Works pretty well for watches, straps, and pointing things too.
