Advertised as an 861 Pre-moon, then later appended with movement pics indicating a 321 movement.

It ended up selling for $3550. Case and movement are 105.012-65, bezel, dial not so much.

If original, then what is it worth? $7-9K?

Might have been a great deal if somebody had a dial and bezel laying around. Maybe it does pay to be a hoarder of parts.

For 3550$? Why not. A 321 movement alone goes for 3k these days.

    Nice project watch for someone.

PS. Does the dog come with the watch?

I think it was, noticed it last night. Then the day got in the way and another potential swims past. Plenty more in the sea, right.

What do these sellers do (or the watchmaker at some point in the past) to fit these dials to 321s? Cut off the posts and re-attach them in the correct place?

They are already in the same place, but the posts for the 321 are much larger diameter, and longer. They could either be cut down by someone skilled, or they could be knocked off and stuck on with dial dots (dots of double sided tape) by a butcher.

I vote none of the above personally...
