Just wanted to say hello and thank you for the info and enjoyment I have had reading the forums so far.
I just found my Dads old Omega Geneve automatic , it has a Sieko stainless band on it and found a old Rolex band with it ?
I do beleive my day purchased this in the mid to late 80's , not sure why the band was changed ? My Dad came from very humble and modest background when he came to Canada from Denmark back in the late 50s .
I am trying to learn a bit more about this and another Omega I aquired from an old friend .
I find these watches amazing and reading the stories about the watches that have been handed down in generations to bring back great Memories with my Dad who has been gone 20 yrs now! So thank you to those who wrote.

Nice Geneve you have there! 👍 A complete service by a competent watchmaker and a nice black leather strap is all you need to enjoy it for many years! Looks like the crown was replaced perhaps during service.

Searching Omega Geneve Reference 166.041 on the web will get you plenty information about your watch...here's a silver dial variant but most of the general/movement technical information should apply to yours. Enjoy!

Now, is the different style of the engraving in the inside of the caseback a function of where the watch was manufactured?

😕

I would get that bracelet off it asap as the end links are the wrong shape and likely to scratch the case. If you show us the Rolex band someone here will know what it is, how old, etc.

Here is the Rolex band that was in the Box with this watch, which keeps perfect time after 5-6 days of wearing it. I am impressed !!
