Wakmann Regatta just got wackier

I picked this NOS Wakmann up pre-lockdown and was rather thrilled by its rainbow dial, but less enamoured of its brittle thin original boring brown strap. I decided to custom order something more appropriate. Several months later....look what arrived in the post today. And it went on with no screams or fuss at all. Get your sunglasses ready....

I wanted to share it with my fellow forum members. Sadly it has all come together just as autumn arrives - this yells to be on holiday, at a beach bar, whilst drinking a margarita at 5pm in Key West (or is that just me?). Instead, it will accompany me for now in lockdown strolls around the neighbourhood until such times as are appropriate again for this Clint Eastwood* piece of 1970s blingtastic wristwear to be seen and adored by an incredulous crowd of WIS.

Now, your next posted photo should include the shirt and shorts you'll wear with it. And your neighbour's comments 😗 (assuming they notice...)

Man there's a whole lotta stuff to look at with that watch. With my limited intellectual capabilities I would merely focus on what time it is and consider the rest as decorative. 😁

I must say that bracelet is would look ridiculous on pretty much any other watch, but it's a complete home run on yours. I could see you wearing this with an open Hawaiian shirt and a cool feather & beads necklace. Great job!

Ha ha. i have an awful strap too. Looks like they’re from the same maker. Together with a group shot of colorful watches.

By the way... congrats on the new strap I think those are great.

This thing almost look like it could have written my homework with a press of a pusher or get me expelled just by the looks alone, I absolutely love it!
