1970’s Wakmann Regate Chronograph. Ever since changing upon an image of this on IG, I’ve been on the hunt. Finally, I’ve tracked down a fine specimen for a fair price. Seemingly only a couple owners, clean, sharp case with a tidbit of tarnish, excellent dial, and unfortunately not service in over thirty years. It’s still fully functional and keeping excellent time. Haven’t opened up the case back yet but I can, sadly, hear the rotor scraping. I’ve only been wearing it for a bit less that 24 hrs so I cannot say if the autowind is working or not. It arrived about 30 minutes before our departure for Thanksgiving so I figured what better way to test it than wear it on vacation - ha! I’ll get going on a tune up when I get back.
Anyways, very excited for this quirky-cool Chrono. Check it out on a lovely black Tropic reissue strap - quite suiting if I do say so myself.
