I have been patiently watching (a year) for a nice crisp 50s Connie in stainless. This one came up with a Buy it Now option, and after extremely brief consideration, I jumped in. No buyers remorse just yet...haha.

I suspect it is a 2852 with a 501 or 505. Please let me know if I'm right.

It was listed as one owner. To me it looks like an atheist wore it to church on Sundays, as I see little wear.

These pictures are from the seller. I will be back with more upon receipt. And to ask C1.jpg C2.jpg C3.jpg for input on cleaning and light hand polishing.

Maybe a dome dial refinished to look like a piepan dial.

Perhaps this Constellation is near kin? Not really crispy but rather crackly.

The seller emailed me the following information:

My father, a dentist in Maryland, was the original owner, and only wore it on special occasions. It has been in my possession since his death in 1993, but has not been worn.
Friends of my dad purchased the watch for him while on a trip to Europe in the mid to late '50's.
To my knowledge all parts of the watch, including the dial, are original. It has not been recently serviced.

Really nice to have the provenance.

    The time frame is correct.

However, it was common practice for watchmakers to have dials refinished during routine service.

    That's likely the case here.

Unfortunately there's no doubt the dial has been refinished

Aren't the white gold markers a bit more uncommonly seen?

Thank you all for your expertise and encouragement! I do plan on making it my daily wearer.

I haven't opened to see the caliber number.

I'm a little apprehensive to send it to my watchmaker who polished a LeCoultre when I had asked him not too.
Guess he couldn't help himself. But it does need a service.

As long as you are happy with the watch.
