If he ordered a Daytona, your new Jeep will be a pile of rust before he gets his new watch. 😜

Not quite Daytona levels - but I am being quoted over a year for a BMW M5 order !

If I’m lucky I have 7.5 months longer to wait for the car I just ordered…

🙁 but if I do get it I’ll be a very happy boy.

Wait times for these will be very very short (if you get in quick!)
If you miss out on the release batch, don't hold your breath.

Dare I mention it to Ms JIO?

If only you had mentioned this before 😗
Haha! Jeep has arrived. New one next to the sand coloured 2017. Our first automatic. We are getting used to not having a clutch. Slowly… but not as slow as my friend’s wait time. He is still waiting for his Rolex. I sent my friend a message to say that I won the race, but I gave him the reassurance that his watch will last way longer than the Jeep.

to be fair, while Jeeps do a rather good job of holding their value when you drive off the lot, wait time might be longer if they doubled in value when you drive off the lot 😁

I got an estimate on ordering a Subaru recently, 3-4 months. The only real concern I have about waiting that long is that the value of my trade in may change and throw off the numbers. My 10 year old Subaru w/ 70k miles is worth way more than it should be so need to get rid of it as soon as I can 😀

I noticed today that I have the perfect watch to wear when picking up the car this summer. It’ll also need to be my watch any time I take a road trip. Shame it’s not a proper driver.

this is what the car will look like, Forester Sport, honestly would prefer not to have the orange but whatever.

And the proper watch to wear with it (sadly not an ultraman)

My friend who was mentioned in my original post finally got his Rolex. A green dial to honour his Irish father. (I was wrong in my initial post when I wrote that he ordered a blue one).

We got our new car 14 months ago by the way. So final wait time: 2022 Jeep = 6 months. New Rolex = 30 months.

In five years, the Rolex will likely have retained more value compared to original price.

I was wearing my (mostly) usual. We had a choice between Tim Horton’s and Starbucks. I should have just made my own coffee at home…

Car lots seem to be better stocked now.

Car payments push Americans ‘closer to the financial edge’ with severe delinquency rate the highest in 17 years - Fortune.

Looks like we're going to see more cars on lots soon - just at extremely high interest rates.
