·omega forum member “ulackfocus” posted very interesting information about vintage Longines automatics here some years ago. One of his statements is:
“Finally, 6 prototypes were given to employees of different departments for stringent testing, and in April 1946 the 22A was first available to the public.”
I intended to sent a message to ulackfocus but unfortunatly his last activity was in summer 2018.
Can he still be reached?
Does anybody know where the information about the 6 prototypes comes from and if there is some more background knowledge about this?
