So as many of you know, last year @ulackfocus sold his YG VC Malte Grande Classique, a watch which has had many many admirers on the WRUW thread.

In truth, I had been one of those admirers too, and I've been on the lookout for the WG version for the past 1.5 years. This particular VC comes in 2 versions of the guilloche dial - the "spiral" version that Dennis had, and the more conventional version seen here. I much preferred Dennis' version, but they didn't seem to come up very often. In fact, in the past 18 months, there's only been 2 of these in WG come up - one with the conventional guilloche (I passed), and another with the spiral guilloche (I hesitated, ruminated, and bam! It was gone... damn)

Suddenly, one popped up on Chrono24 in June, and after a flurry of negotiations with the Italian seller confirming the guilloche pattern, presence of B&P, the deal was finally struck. The watch just arrived, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Dennis was right. Pictures don't quite capture the dial well - it scintillates bewitchingly in light in real life, and it's a real pleasure to look at. It's a very dressy watch, and with the stepped ligs and the 36m size, it exudes a nice vintage vibe. I could certainly see myself wearing this with a suit (though I confess my cuffs haven't reached the level of starched perfection that Dennis' cuffs have achieved!). I love these thin, manual-wind 3-handers. And it's all your fault @ulackfocus... ;)

You're not gonna stop staring at that dial for days. ;) I'm happy to take 100% of the blame on this one. 2015 is only halfway over and this puts me WAY over the top on enabler points.

So nice. I love how the shape and profile of the hands are mimicked in the hour markers.

Love the contrast of the guilloché dial against that plain bezel... It is gorgeous.
