Zenith A278. Dial and hands seem to be in very nice condition. Case is overpolished. Bracelet is aftermarket. Value is whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
Thanks for your Info. Value is always whatever someone is willing to pay, but I don´t want to call a ridiculous price and see what happens. Therefore a realistic value would be good to know.
There is a private watch sales forum but you require 200 posts in order to qualify to post there. This forum here is not for that purpose.
No worries - welcome to the forum. There are a number of Zenith collectors here, self included. You will not likely get much help in posts with pricing your watch but troll through the sales and private sales forums for Zenith chronometers to see what others were priced at. There is a good search feature.
IMHO A278 is a beautiful watch. Your pictures don’t show the crown and I can’t say if it is Original or not. Dial is in very good conditions but the case is overpolished and I presume the serial number on the backcase is cancelled. You don’t have the Original bracelet and the rare end links (ZE). I think the rigth price is betwen 2k and 2,5k, more near 2k if you have a service crown or more near 2,5 if crown is original
Looks pretty fantastic to me!! As a reference, here's one that was sold by Hodinkee.... https://shop.hodinkee.com/products/1960s-zenith-chronograph-reference-a278?variant=38413251791
I'll go $199. Wait...did I win? Seriously though, that is a sharp looking watch and most vintage pieces have been polished so no big deal. Why not post it for sale over on TRF since you are a regular there?
The One on hodinkee had uncorrect back case and crown. I confirm you A278 is fantastic! Mine says hello
I would like to post it for sale here in the sales area, but I am not allowed since I don´t have minimum of 200 postings I think...
Thats correct. You can find the rules here https://omegaforums.net/threads/ple...s-rules-for-all-listings-inc-parts-wtb.54177/ Just out of curiosity, is there a specific reason you want to sell it here? If you have 11,000 posts on TRF and are an established member, why not try to sell it there?
It's simple. Sales corner in RLX- Forum is nearly all about (boring) new watches. Not really much vintage guys anymore and almost all of them are only interested in vintage Rolex, Patek or Audemars. Not much about omega vintage, let alone Zenith...
