    Hi all!
I have a opportunity to buy a vintage Zenith Defy diver, but Im not sure if its a franken. I cant find any Zenith divers with the same dial or hands anywhere.
The watch isnt working but all the parts are there and it wouldnt cost me much to get it running. The seller is a friend of mine but he knows less about Zenith than I do, and I know nothing (He's a Certina collector and I collect Omega).
The movement is a 2543pc if I remember correctly.
    What do you guys think?
If it looks good, what would be a fair price?

Something doesn't seem right. It's meant to be a diver but where's all the lume ?

I have one of these (not my pic though), and you'd surely expect lume like this to go with a case/bezel like that.

I actually havent thought of that but this would be useless as a diving watch without the lume. It would suprise me if Zenith made that mistake.
In other words Ill keep clear of this one.

If you can't find a similar one somewhere on the net it is unlikely you have discovered something unique. Always be circumspect when there is little or no information on a model.

That poor crown barely visible through the crown guard is pathetic...

There is no crown @Syrte, only the threaded stem tube where a screw down crown should go.

Another reason it wouldn't be a good "dive watch".

Ah, you're right - I was looking at it from my phone and could not see the detail.
