Hi I got this sub second vintage Omega on a trade today, the serial no is on the caseback, how ever I cant get the case back of to see the model no and cal no, its a manual wind. Can anybody help me identify the watch, its about 32mm in diameter. Also are those the original hands and dial?

    Regards Francois

I can't answer even one of your questions but I can say that that dial has some awesome patina...

Dial and main hands look original. Small second not

Movement and just a guess based on size.

    26.5SOB or 17.8 caliber

Need to open it up to get numbers on the inside and then you will also know which movement is inside

Finally got it open. There is no numbers on the inside case back but there is a movement no which would suggest that its a pre WWII watch, any idea what cal movement it is?

The caliber reference should be under the balance wheel.

Probably a 26.5 T3 15P introduced in 1940. Your 8 mil serial could also point to 1940 or so.

Yes, very likely a 26,5 T3 - the one with a monometallic balance.
