I wondered if any of you may be able to help in identifying these 2 watches? The one on the left I believe has a logo 'GAMA Epora', which looks to be a German watchmaker: https://watch-wiki.org/index.php?title=Uhren-_und_Schmuckfabrik_G.A._Müller And I've no idea about the one on the right as I don't recognise the logo. If anyone could help shed some light on these watches I'd very much appreciate it. Many thanks!
Yes, Mikrolisk records the trademark "Gama" as being owned by G. A. Müller of Pforzheim, Germany. Based on the style of the dial, I would guess that watch dates to the mid-1950s. I cannot read the dial on the right either. Any better pictures? Seems to read RONCL ?
Thanks for your reply Vitezi. It says in the write-up link above that "Around 1960, the watch and jewelry factory GA Müller joined the newly founded production group Epora." So I'm thinking since it looks like it has Epora written under the GAMA logo that it would be around the same time? Yes the other one does look like it says RONCL. These are the only pics I have right now. They were worn by someone in the military who served in the SAS during WWII.
Ah fantastic, thanks for identifying that one What period would you say this one is? I'm interested to know whether it may have been worn during his WII missions or if they're more likely later than that period.
Would anyone know what model and era this watch would be? Looks quite original. It's been in the family since new. Just trying to work out based on period of release whether it's more likely uncle or grandfather.
Is that a coronet with three spikes next to the brand or model name? I remember perhaps a year ago or more someone asking about a crown with similar emblem. I have a camy signed movement I bought for parts. Don't remember offhand what the logo looks like. I'll have to go through some boxes.
