Vintage watches and airports

When did movements become good enough so that the movement is not affected by the airport scanners. I have a vintage seamaster from 1967 with the cal. 565 movement. Will it be after affected by the airport scanners? Also for future purchases what watches would be affected. I have used a modern watch through the airport with no problem but have yet to use a vintage Watch.

I’ve taken hundreds of vintage Omegas through airports over the last 12 years and never had an issue, even with 18k gold cased Calibre 320s when that movement’s base calibre was designed in the 30’s.

Your iPad case or laptop are more likely to cause issues as they have strong magnets in them.

I've never heard of any issue with an airport scanner.

1940s-1950s vintage Omegas, Longines, IWC, Zenith, and a Smiths that I can recall taking through airports always have emerged unscathed.

One more time so that the people in the back hear it. Airport Scanners do not use magnetism in any way that might affect a watch.
