I imagine that on the Earth someone can do it... 😁
Tell the people where you live, so maybe they can help!

And post a couple of pictures - chances are people here might be able to tell you what you got and give you a rough idea about value and what should be done.

Why on earth would you sell it?

Don’t bother to service it if you’re selling, you won’t make that money back.

When you didn't like your grandfather, you sell his watch to spite his memory.

You joke, but I bought a watch three years ago from a woman who did just that.

She was hoping to get cash when he died, but just got his jewellery. I bought this Zenith Port Royal and she bought a new phone:

When I asked if she was sure she wanted to sell the watch she said, "I don't need a watch. Phones show the time."

My father died in August 2018 and I sold the watch and paid for his headstone.

I didn’t want to “like” this one but it’s all we got- is there a sad like?

Like a lot of fathers mine worked hard but never got a gold watch when he retired. I think he would have found it funny that I sold a gold watch to buy him a monument.

Not everybody is sentimentally attached to their late parent's possessions. It's not compulsory!

My step-father has two watches, a gold plated fugly 80’s Seiko and a 1969 18k UG (currently out for service). I don’t think I’ll have any desire to keep that Seiko.
