I have two vintage Tissot watches that I inherited and I am struggling to find exact matches online. Can anyone help me identify the year and model of these two watches? Thank you!

The first is probably from the late 40s with a bumper movement, maybe 28.5.21

Can anyone help me identify the year and model of these two watches?
Hello @apete349 and welcome to the forum!

The first watch is a men's stainless steel watch, dating I think to the mid/late 1950s. The dial has been repainted at some time in its past history, which was not uncommon. The watch should contain an automatic self-winding movement which means that, once you set the time, gently turn the winding crown a few times to start the watch and then strap it onto your wrist, the automatic movement will keep the watch wound while you wear it. No batteries are needed. 馃榾

If you want to know the exact year and model, you will need to have a watchmaker open the back of the watch for you. Inside, you will see numbers on the inside of the caseback that will tell you the exact model (reference) number. The number on the movement is a serial number, and can be used to determine what year the watch was likely assembled in the factory.

As an heirloom it may have a lot of value to you, but if you are looking to sell the watch, the repainted dial diminishes the value a great deal.

The second watch is a ladies watch, dating I think to the late 1950s/early 1960s. That one is a manual wind watch and I think it has also been repainted. As with the men's watch, you will need a watchmaker open the back of the watch for you to see the reference and serial numbers inside to know the exact year of production and the model number.
