·This is another recent pickup that was destined for a place of honor in my mini watch museum until I had the opportunity to acquire a personal grail Diver.
What attracted me to this one is the historic Swiss brand, the beautiful original Dial, the Gay Freres Bracelet and the superb condition right down to the very cool Caseback with the engraved (?) ship.
ITEM : TISSOT T12 DIVERS COMPRESSOR AUTOMATIC DIVERS WATCH
AGE : LATE 1970
CASE : HEAVY DUTY SOLID STAINLESS STEEL CASE SCREW IN WATERPROOF TYPE BACK 44MM ACROSS ORIGINAL SIGNED CROWNS.
DIAL : 100% ORIGINAL DIAL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
MOVEMENT : AUTOMATIC WIND MOVEMENT
BAND : GAY FRERES STAINLESS STEEL BAND WITHSIGNED BUCKLE
OVERALL CONDITION : USED IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH SOME EVIDENCE OF NORMAL WEAR
Everything is working as it should - has quick set for Day/Date and the second Crown for the Internal Bezel moves smoothly, which just the right amount of resistance
Don't let the 44mm Case Diameter put you off. I typically avoid watches with a Case Diameter great than 40mm unless the watch just knocks my socks off. This does not wear like a 44mm watch, I think it has to do with the size and design of the bezel, which slopes away from the dial pretty dramatically and on the wrist what is visible is the Dial
I have not figured out how to take a decent wrist shot, but included one here to try and point out what I am saying.
Here is a link to my references from here on OF: https://omegaforums.net/search/15182199/?q=pnwyankee&o=date&c[node]=10
My eBay feedback is 475 feedback ratings: 100% positive under the handle: infieldflys
Price: $535 + $19 for conus shipping. Happy to ship Internationally after a conversation with the buyer regarding preferred shipping service and additional costs over conus.
Thanks OF for the space.
