路Tissot lemania chrono's 60's - 70's - Techniek & Reviews - Horlogeforum.nl - het forum voor liefhebbers van horlogesBumping an old thread 馃榾
I saw somewhere - might have been Instagram - that someone had a Tissot chronograph with a Kreisler-Stelux "chiclet" bracelet, which I'd never known was a combo before. They'd picked the watch up from Uhrforum last year, I think - from that ad:
I presume that's a Lemania 870, and the model ref is 40526 (like the catalog archive above, from @JimJupiter) but the bezel is different (more like the PR516 diver, eg 46622). If anyone has a more comprehensive catalog of the variants of these PR516 chronos, I'd be interested to see them. I did find an old Dutch language page on https://www.horlogeforum.nl/t/tissot-lemania-chronos-60s-70s/62668 which has quite a bit more detail on the various 60/70s Tissots, and it suggested that the squared-coloured-subdial tricompax chrono was a facelift of the original round-subdial one ...
... but the internal case ref on my red/black tricompax is 40528-1x ...
whereas the circular subdial one is 40528-2x, which might suggest the reverse.
Also, note the different bezels - some are white/black and others are white/red. Why the hell did watch manufacturers have so many minor variants of basically the same watch? ;-)
