I know this has been discussed, perhaps in a dedicated thread, but I cannot seem to locate it. I cannot afford a 321 movement Speedmaster so I am looking at 1969/70 with the non-moon watch back (Pre-Moon Watch), or perhaps a newer version. For those who have owned both, since neither were THE moon watch, did it matter ultimately to you that it was newer or older? I can spend(maybe) enough to pick up the 1969/70 model. They sell quite often online for a bit more than the newer models but not completely out of reach.
I've read all the threads on what to look for and watch out for. I would like to hear personal experiences. I owned a 1977 Moon watch a few years back but the case was bent or something and an OEM bracelet wouldn't fit very well. I loved the patina but really wanted a bracelet.
