    Hi guys....

I searched pretty extensively this past weekend for a good tutorial with photos of the evolution of the Speedmaster bracelet. I was able to piece some things together, but does anybody have a link to a one stop info shop?

My modern Speedy bracelet just isn't doing it for me and I need something else to try.

    Thank you.

I was doing some looking along the same lines a few weeks back and only turned up this-

It's not great, but it'll give you a start. However, I think the only readily-available vintage-style bracelet is the 1171 at Otto Frei... Unless you're willing to spend some time searching, and a good amount of cash paying, for an actual vintage Speedmaster bracelet. In that case, my personal favorite is the 1039.

Try Otto Frei (they have the end links). Gather you have to email them directly re. bracelets. Nothing on ebay?

Is the 1171 the same bracelet that came on those WatchCo rebuilt Seamasters?

The 1479 is a great looking bracelet especially on a vintage Speedmaster. They are no longer produced but show up on eBay occasionally or a sales forum. They are also creeping up in price as well because of the rarity and demand.

It's a bit of a stiff bracelet and I can't deny that it will pull a hair or two but it really is a nice addition to any Speedmaster.

1450, or its little brother 1447 are nice on a speedy along with some 808 ends.. they come up. Depends on vintage of the watch though.

Here's a (sold) example of the 1447: http://m.ebay.com/itm/261739485461?_mwBanner=1Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

I believe so as it's known to be purchased for the purpose of wearing it on the 165.024 / 166.024.

Interestingly... the 633 end pieces that come from WatchCo are not the same as what you buy today from Otto Frei. The OFrei version fits a modern Speedmaster case almost perfectly with no modification, but you have to file them a bit to fit on a WatchCo Seamaster 300, and even then, they're "too tall".

I need to get a pair of vintage 633s as I mangled the ones that came with my Seamaster 300 in an attempt to make them fit better. I know better now, of course, but now need a new set so I can adjust those properly.

I've found that seems to be the case with some of Omega's endlinks when fitting to cases they weren't expressly designed for. The Speedmaster I just bought has a balky set of lugs on the 12 o'clock side, that makes it difficult to fit the 516 ends it was more or less designed to take in the first place. Though it's maybe 1 or 2 years earlier than the 1039 was first produced, so maybe there's something to that...
