Hello all, I have a question about how to store my Speedmaster. It is being kept in a safe that gets down to 50’F in the winter, and gets up to
74’F in the summer. I do have a heating rod in the safe but not sure if I should be doing something better to safeguard my family heirloom. Thank you for any advice.

So about 10ºC to 25ºC.
Wouldn't be any issue at all for a Speedmaster. The most important thing is to keep it free of moisture.
If you're in a humid climate you can use humidity indicator cards inside the safe to see if there is abnormal humidity.
A dessicator can be used to control humidity if it's above an acceptable limit.

You should be fine. If this watch can survive a journey to the moon, it can survive almost anything!

That’s the inside now. I do my best to make sure humidity is at a minimum. I just didn’t know the parameters. Thank you much!! I always appreciate any help!

Also, don't let your watch get near any magnetic fields like speakers, smartphones, etc.

Those temperatures are perfectly fine. If the safe is sealed and there is a chance that there might be moisture trapped inside, you can use some silica packets to dry it out.

Yes, absolutely! It was just serviced so I assume it will be do in 5-7 years?

Every five years is a good service interval. Main thing with servicing is to make sure any potential issues are addressed before they become big issues. Plus it keeps everything moving the way it should.

No, that's not required. In the rare event it would get magnetized by a strong field it can easily be demagnetized. No need to baby it. I've never had any problems using a smartphone or tablet while wearing a watch.
