He is wearing at the pool, not in the pool....
I would not wear my Speedmaster (vintage or new) in the water...
Cheers

Read it again...he specifically says he wears it in the pool...

When was it tested?
How long after the test does it stop being watertight?
Schrodingers cat?
Does the light in my fridge really turn off when I close the door?

You can't fit a cat inside a Speedmaster Pro case. Even a hypothetical one.

Perhaps the correct DON bezel is at the bottom of the deep end?
Funny to see the drop Chrono and no AML as well. The other hands have different patina so maybe they are originals? Hard to say if he got it worked on by Omega.

Fun to see a guy love a watch. Even people who don’t nerd out to MWO 📖 can enjoy the looks of a vintage Speedmaster 😎

I can’t believe you’ve taken a Speedmaster in a pool Andy... without your armbands and inflatable banana!

£80 for a Oliver Spencer pullover! 😲 No wonder he's not worried about making a 'bollocks' of that Speedy! 😁

I sat next to him at a wedding a few years back and he was wearing this watch.

Oliver is a lovely man and has been a a great friend to people close to me. He makes some cool clothes too.
I’ve owned a couple of Oliver Spencer pieces. You’re right: he has indeed designed some very cool clothes.

And yet I reckon this thread might prove the most influential and well-considered of his creations.😎

cue.. “but no water in space!”

Followed by photo of splashdown after re-entry... round and round the merry-go-round we go!

Dude gets watch, likes watch, wears watch, fanatics cry “burn him...!”

I’ve not read the comments yet I skipped.

It’s ok for a non collector to have a service dial. It’s still a great looking piece for a fashion designer.

Ok now to read the comments.

It’s nice to see someone wearing it as the manufacturers intended rather than locking it away in safety deposit box somewhere for removal once a year for a viewing.

I don't see a step on that dial.
It’s a service dial.

This is a serious question in case anyone thinks I am just being a wiseass. What exactly is it that makes so many people "cringe" about getting a speedmaster wet. I am certainly not new to watches even old or exspensive ones. And the speedmaster seems to have the same basic waterproofing measures as most watches that are reasonably waterproof. Meaning O rings on the case back, crown, and pushers. Other than just unnecessary worry or the lack of a recent service is there something I am missing.
I am the proud owner of a new to me speedmaster pro and it has gone everywhere with me since I bought it. Including the occasional dip or shower if I am uncomfortable leaving it in a locker unattended. No problems and I don't expect any it is a high quality well built watch and will be serviced again before any seals have a chance of drying out and failing.
I guess I just don't understand having a watch renowned for its toughness and extensive testing and being afraid to wear it anyplace but a dry clean environment with no chance of so much as a little bump dirt or moisture getting near it. ( ok maybe that last comment was a little smartassy )
