It depends. Did you wash your hands or drink water anytime during the procedure? If so, you'd better get with Stufflers to get his opinion!

Yes, I suppose a few custom avatar texts would have been awarded. I miss those, on a thread like this.

I must be bored, I just read this thread from start to finish....
    My thoughts,
.I would not use the Speedmaster as a dive watch, not because it would leak but because the way the dial is set up it would be almost impossible to read at depths beyond 20 metres and it lacks the features required for diving.

.I did about 30 dives with a friend who wore a Speedmaster down to -30 metres on three occasions, he forgot to take it off before the dive.

The Speedmaster survived though was quite useless as a dive watch, too hard to read. The first time he did it he got stressed and almost decided to surface, the second time he only realised when we got back on board, the third time he gave the watch a light case of coral rash.
After that he would borrow one of my Seiko Monsters.

.I doubt too many Omegas of any description actually get wet in the brine.

.I liked Archer's Pressure Test Pictorial, great post.

. 99.99% of all SCUBA dives are down to less than -30 metres....

    .Trolls exist on all forums....

.You can lead a horse to water but you cannot force it to drink...

Just great. Guys like you have to come along and instill even more experience, wisdom, and clarity to wind down a perfectly fine post of unprecedented insanity that would be the envy of Abbott and Costello's classic, "Who's on First" gag. I guess now we have to all gather up our snorkels and go home?

The only thing we haven't seen in this thread is a simple Venn Diagram to illustrate ::book::

Not quite, I thought I would send off a question directly to Omega via their own website, the answer below might be helpful to anyone who has been taken in by poor advice.

    YOUR QUESTION

    Hello,

I would like to ask if my new Speedmaster Pro can be used for snorkelling and scuba diving while I'm on holiday?

    Regards,

The reply is directly from Omega themselves...............

    OUR ANSWER
    Dear,

    Thank you for your message.

We do not recommend snorkeling or scuba diving with an OMEGA Speedmaster Professional.

    Kind regards,

    Your OMEGA team.

It's a good thing that no one here has ever recommended snorkeling (sorry JwR!) or scuba diving with their Speedmasters!

50m means 50m...as it always has...;)

Fuck it. I was off to bed but now I shall stay, drink and watch Dougal try to tell us for a further 15 pages that 50m ≠ 50m

    SNORKEL!!!
