@ashleystedman

The WatchCo's are not Tritium or Radium filled dials, hands or bezels so that just wouldn't happen how ever long you waited although being filled with modern luminous material they do shine bright.

Marc

they have superluminova service parts IIRC yes?

I don't have mine yet- the career criminals known as "customs" are holding it pending a description- and im sure a near 400$ duty charge from a friend in Australia (note to self: always claim as a gift)

But I do have some sellers shots- watchco, but original cal. 552 from an SM300 serviced and fitted to all NOS replacement parts 😀 Kinda counts as vintage- minus patina- right?! 😁

Bought, then sold this one a few years ago. If I ever find another one, I won't sell it...

Nice example, I think there still some decent examples on chrono24 and eBay[emoji108]

It is such a great watch. Definetly on my wish list since some time. But seeing the prices, I will have to save it for a later moment.
As I already worked myself through all possible drawers from my grandparents 🤪 , I will have to wait for that miraculous oncle (or grandfather or godfather - shit I'm not even baptized), who will pop up with a watch, he always wanted to pass to someone worthy.
I should stop dreaming and start putting some money aside!😉

It's kind of shocking how fast the Watchco's went up in price. I'm really glad I picked one up when I did. Some of the vintage examples in this thread are outrageously beautiful, but I can be happy with my service parts SM300...

It finally got through DHL customs a few weeks ago ( thank goodness, NEVER use DHL. NIGHTMARE. )

Service dial does indeed sparkle in sunlight as well 😁

Agreed DHL clearing sucks. Had a Seiko SKX mod land from the states recently after 1 day in transit from posting, then spend almost two weeks in clearance. Each time I called in to check I got a completely different story and the dreaded runaround from pillar to post. With the state of the national post utility it severely limits international shipping options!
