Seamaster automatic circa1959-1963 im guessing. Anybody know what the watch winder settings should be? My winder has 2 choices. 650 TPD or 900 TPD . CW-CCW OR BOTH. I’m wondering if it even should go on a winder.

Looks more like a 165.002 from the mid-late 60’s.

Can’t help with the wonder settings

The information you need for identification and dating will be inside the case-back and on the movement. I really wouldn't put it on the winder, especially if it hasn't been serviced. Just unnecessary wear and tear on the movement IMO.

Winder not necessary, no date to lose. Just set time, give a few winds and go.

Yes , i think you’re probably right about that. It could use a service. Losing 2 min a day

Nice watch but as other memebr said it's no need to put it on a winder. And if you will put it i am sure the setting will no be a problem for this watch 😀. It can manage anything 😀

thanks. i am skipping the winder. i did put it on on all possible settings though, and it stopped after 2 days or so. it's fine just on the wrist. seems like about a 30hr reserve. so its the old fashioned way for this watch
