Hello all!
Today i bought locally a vintage gold plated quartz seamaster cal 1346.
The watch was listed as not working properly but i decided to take the risk since the price was very low. I was wearing the watch for the past few hours and it was working fine until now that it stopped. It starts again when shaken.
Where i live we're in full lockdown right now so i can't visit my watchmaker to have it fixed. Since though I'm very curious to know whether this can be an easy fix I thought of asking if anyone here is experienced with quartz movements and could share his opinion.
Thank you all guys in advance!
Alex

It will not be possible for us to diagnose what the problem might be. No doubt, a previous owner had it looked at with the possibility of returning it to health. Either they were unable to stomach the price, the cause of the poor performance couldn’t be determined, or parts that might be required were not available. In for a penny, in for a pound! When you are able, take it to have it checked over.

Thank you for sharing! 😁 I guess my only choice is to wait. However i asked the seller if he had been to a watchmaker to ask about the problem and he said he had not (sure i don't know if this is true)

Okay then. A previous owner! How many “previous owners” might it have had? One of them might have fitted the scenario.
