Vintage seamaster opinion

Hello everyone, I’m wondering your opinions on this seamaster. I think it is real but with a repainted dial? Does the dial being repainted lessen its value, especially if it doesn’t say swiss made on it? I would appreciate any help or an idea of what a realistic price for something like this should be.

I'll let the experts be the final judge, but I don't think they ever came in light blue, the font and boldness of the "seamaster" is all wrong, among other things...

Looks like a repainted dial for sure.

Hard pass on this one.

Not only is the dial poorly refinished the case has been heavily polished both dramatically diminish the desirability and value.

The photo looks like one of the commonly seen Korean sellers on eBay who exclusively sells redials like that, definitely not worth buying.

Everything has a price, and stuff like this does seem to sell on eBay. Though perhaps to be followed by an unhealthy dose of buyer remorse. If a nice original example of this model would fetch, say, $800-1000, then this, err, heavily modified example might be worth perhaps half at most ie I can see it finding a home at $400-500 to the less fussy. Only thing is, this isn’t nice example, it’s got corrosion, a dirty movement probably in need of service and perhaps some other gremlins. On that basis, shortly after you pay your $400-500, you’d probably need to shell out another $300 to make it work right. It doesn’t add up.
