Hi there! I am looking to get a nice 1950s seamaster, and come across this one in the pic.
It has everything that i want EXCEPT the word Omega Automatic, .. is it normal for old watch with patina to have faded font like this? (The word Seamaster looks very clear but Omega Automatic is faded, shouldn't they all go the same way?)

 

Usually this is because of the dial having been cleaned, but I’m not sure that’s the case here..

 

If I was somebody trying to clean that dial up, that would not be the first place I would have tested.

 

Ehm... deja vu?
