Hello. First off, this is an Amazing site! Thanks for letting me be part of it.

I am new to vintage watch collecting. But have a few.
I picked this watch up years ago from a garage sale.
That is all I know about the history of it. In searching of this watch, 2576, * 1952?* Ive come across a few, but none 2576-4. I assume the face was redone, as are the "12,3,6,9". The case looks great, purrs like a kitten, although through moves, the second hand has fallen off. Which i noticed that it was stuck in the arms and now the hour is slightly off.....but keeps good time.
Sorry if the pics arent the best.
So, all being said. Is it worth it to keep, pay someone to change the crystal, redialed etc? Or is it a parts watch. Lol.
And, is there anything obviously wrong with its appearence other than the dial and markings?
    Thank you in advance.

Nice bumper, serial number is from 1952-53. What I would do:
    - Clean/Oil/Adjust movement. Put second hand in place.
    - Very light, manual polishing of case
    - Get rid of the awful lumps of lume someone dumped on the dial. No other dial intervention.
    - Put a nice leather strap.

It looks very nice to me aside from the refinished dial. Personally I would want to try to source a new, non-refinished one, or you could get it professionally refinished. I wouldn’t bother paying to service it without fixing the dial, but if you’re okay with it as-is, then definitely get it serviced and enjoy.

Thank you much. Both good advice. Its a great watch. Someone else will love. Gonna be more costly than I want to put into it Im afraid. Project for someone with more experience than I.
Onto the Bay with it. Then Ill find one slightly bigger that's closer to wearing. Appreciate it!
