Asking for your kind advise. What do you guys think of this watch? Thanks!
I have read that the rarity comes from the fact that the movements were meant for connies.
Are these rare nowadays? Thanks a bunch!

Not really rare, but less common than the non-chronometer versions. A lot of guys like the size of them. The C-case wears a little larger than the measurement because of the extra surface area of the lugs.

Thanks. How much should these things go for?

Not really sure. I can't see them being over $1200, and probably a few hundred less. Somebody here has a mint gold plated model.

Were they gold plated or capped?

Not particularly uncommon and not particularly sought after. In excellent condition I would say $600-800.

For this example, would a sub 500usd tag be a good deal?

The last few auctions have been going a bit higher than that, I think the demand created on here is partly responsible for these ones going up recently.

Went and got it for a really good price. Might flip it someday though.
    Dial is so 'sparkly'

Good snag - Looks OK to me.

Wear it only on dull days for a bit of added sparkle - as there is a risk that jumbo jets will fall from the sky if you wear it on sunny afternoons !
