Hello all.
I am considering buying this Vintage Seamaster 600. I am relatively new to watch collecting and have aquired a few nice watches over the last couple of years, however this would be my first Omega. I have done some research and it looks the 'real deal' to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards. Bernard73

Any photos? It's an entry-level model and not often faked, but there could certainly be non-original parts or condition issues that we could look for.

It’s real but I think the dial has been repainted. Have you got a better picture?

Hi Bernard and welcome.
The pics are soft and poorly lit, but the dial looks ok to me. I would want to see much better pics to verify the condition of it though. You also didn’t mention the price the seller is asking- that has a big impact on if it’s worth pursuing.

Thank you all for your input. They are the only pictures I have at the moment. The seller is asking for £340. Apparently no history of any services but working 'perfectly'.

The good thing is that he is local so I am hoping to go and view this evening.

I’d still want to see a better picture of the dial. It’s likely the picture but the Seamaster text looks thick and ‘squashed’

Price isn’t bad at all if the dial is original and it’s running. You do have to account for a service eventually which will run a few hundred, but it will be a nice daily wear after that. As David stresses, I would want to see a better pic. Just one outside with an iPhone where they actually tapped to focus on the dial would be enough to know what you need to know
