Respectable Members Kindly advise whether or not this is a genuine Seamaster 120 and if so, whether it is a desirable collector's piece. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-1969-SEAMASTER-DIVER-120M-GREEN-REF-136-027-HANDWIND-CAL-613-RARITY-/370677855870?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item564e1f367e Thank-you.
Good to read as that thing has been through the wash one too many times......what an odd, odd patina.
Respectable Member MyVintageOmega Trying to get a desirable Omega Seamaster diver that is factory-original or 100% authentic is becoming more and more difficult, as each day goes by. Take a stone and throw it into the air, most likely it will fall and land on a diver watch with its dial refinished, a franken or a fake. That is the unhealthy situation today. Thank-you.
This may be a candidate for Kyle - he's pretty good at resuscitating crusty-looking pieces (BTW, I don't say this in a bad way, in the contrary I think Kyle has a good eye to see beyond the scratches and dirt) - personally, I think with a low-tech dial clean up, a different color bezel and new set of hands will make this one look sexy again.
I'm guessing the bezel and case was considered a single "item" even though they're separable from an inventory standpoint. Its not like a Submariner where you're ordering inserts every 5-10 years.
my 37mm 1967 Omega 120 Manual wind 17 Jewel caliber 601 movement No Date Window .... case ref# 135.027 marked " Water Proof " second sweep hand taken from a 1960's Omega 300, Hour and Minute hands from 1960's Omega Geneve
It's not an odd patina. These came with green and even burgundy bezels. This watch has the green bezel.
My Omega Seamaster 60 had a blue bezel. In a late restoration it was substituted by a black one. Who could help to find the original one?
I can say it is not that desirable as it is a small diameter watch which often mistakenly regarded as a ladies model but I think that it is a very beautiful Seamaster. Here's mine in almost NOS condition with factory semi expandable bracelet. I tried to sell this by consigning to a reputable dealer in Munich but it did not sell If a watch in almost NOS with a reasonable price does not sell, that watch is not desirable.
A beautiful Seamaster as well. I don't want to sell mi watch, just want to restore to the original situation. Also I still haven't put back the original big crown and the original strap.
they have some BLUE omega Bezels ... dunno if there is one that fits ur Omega 60 ... on E bay .... http://www.ebay.com/sch/OMEGA-Watch-Bezels-Inserts/57714/bn_5870581/i.htmlPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
try reaching out to the sellers .... sometimes they have inventory that they do not post , or have access to other sellers who might have them ....
If it could help, these are mine 120!! Patina as always depend on every single piece history.. Cheers
