Vintage Rolex in Copenhagen

A friend of mine has been interested in a 41 mm two tone yellow gold date just and has understandably not been able to source it for years. Was visiting Copenhagen and found a small jeweler who happen to have several vintage, early 90s that were 36 mm but otherwise for the bill.

He said he certified the authenticity and provided serial number etc. it's not box and papers, etc.

The question is this. If I were to take it home and at some point to get sent into Rolex to be cleaned, I've heard horror stories of them not giving the watch back
But supposing it is authentic (which I believe it to be) would they clean it and repair it and return it as normal?

Thx

Rolex will service and return an authentic DJ from the 1990s, as long as all parts are legit and the watch was not reported stolen.

These are not hard to find at all, so there's no need to buy it sight-unseen.

That model is not exactly hard to source I'd say

That's not what she was originally after
She wanted brand bew

I found vintage as a replacement idea

And I don't think that someone who wants a 41mm DJ is going to be very happy with a 36mm version. Return it pronto.

She has small wrists
And decided that 36 would be better fit.

That’s not hard to get either.
Really?!
Seemed like multi year waiting lists if trying to get from AD

No way. I got offered one a year ago as a walk in and it’s only gotten easier since then.

I think a TT DJ may be easiest to get entry level Rolex

We can all, agree, she has grandpa taste for sure
What a douchebag comment.
Should everyone have the exact same taste as you?

Also, awful use of commas.

41 is too be for me and I’m 6’1” and 16.5 stone. I think they’re far too big on an average sized person.

Not sure if you realize, but the TT datejust with a fluted bezel and jubilee is known as the grandpa Rolex. Lots of rollies have nicknames. It was said in jest and didn’t mean to offend. It looks great on her.
